Mission in Dominican Republic

Dr Federica Fioravanti partecipated for the second year to a non-profit health care program which focuses on primary medical and surgical eye care to under-served rural areas in Central America and the Dominican Republic.
During this mission 1214 patients were screened and received primary eye care and 400 surgeries were performed (cataracts, strabismus, oculoplastc surgery and laser)
Doctor Federica performed visual screening in children and strabismus surgery in children and adults.
Glasses and sunglasses were donated to patients.
